Victims of Danvers blast say checks received not enough.

While some of the property losses were covered by insurance, families that received checks in the week for uninsured property, emotional impact, and out-of-pocket cheap house insurance costs say it wasn't enough to cover the stress and true value of the explosion. Most homeowners have or will receive dimes on the dollar from the settlement, compared to the price of reconstructing. Nearly a hundred homes and companies suffered damage or wrecked by the explosion, which took place at 2:46 am on November twenty-two, 2006. Folk who filed a trouble claim received the same quantity of cash, which is less than $1,000, Sanborn recounted. I'm of the opinion a lot of folks got less than $1,000, declared Linda Carney, 63, whose house on Bates Street needed to be torn down and reconstructed.
