Lord Melvin Blackburn had sued Woman Kathleen Blackburn with whom he separated 3 years back, saying an equal slice of the property they'd jointly invested in axa home insurance before their separation.

But Malindi judge Hellen Omondi ruled that Lord Melvin will get only a share of the money and property he had purchased by advantage of his name having been registered in the possession documents. He wanted the money they invested in their joint names in life assurance policy numbers EDZ 2001059 / one to EDZ 20059 / twelve at the AXA Isle of Man in the United Kingdom be split for each to get an equal share.

But the judge gave him twenty percent of the price which is like about Sh4 million to Sh5 million.Lady Kathleen had declined to recognise Lord Melvin's entitlement to the property.
