EL PASO, Texas -- those that are driving in El Paso without insurance won't be cruising for long. Beginning November one, El Paso police will be ready to tow and impound somebody's automobile if they don't have insurance.
El Paso Town Council members passed the ordinance in July and for the past few months, drivers were given time to get educated about the law. Law enforcement officials will have the capability to confirm vehicle insurance, if drivers do not have their cards present and their auto won't be towed or incarcerated. In July, El Paso Town Council member Steve Ortega told KFOX the town cites about fifty thousand folk a year because they do not have car insurance.
Some El Pasoans expounded if folk do not have insurance, they should find a different way of getting around.
